• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Gusty Impressions

Yesterday on the prairie it was windy to say the least. Sustained winds between 35-40, with lots of gusts to 50 MPH out of the west. Time to find out how the new Performance RT handled in a real breeze. And the report is it did admirably!!!

The real test was with those winds hitting the RT and me at a 90 degree angle. I had to hang on, the windshield vibrated at times, i got buffeted a few times, but the RT stayed on track and was amazingly easy to guide. Regards to the Elka's and the team at Cowtown for my impressively stable ryde.

I agree with the handling of the RT in a strong cross-wind. I took a long ride last fall where the wind was quite at the beginning of the day. However, by the time mid-afternoon hit, it was blowing hard. The RT was very easy to keep on-track and I did not feel like I was struggling to stay on the road. The wind was gusty as well.

We had wind advisory here with wind gust up to 40 mph. Road from Ohio river back home an the :spyder2: handle great.
