• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hey, all. Top of the day to you from St. Augustine, America's oldest city. Just picked up an '10 Spyder RT SE5 Audio/Convenience with matching trailer. Full Moon Silver. Brought the RT home May 15. Dealer towed it back May 19 for oil leak. Haven't seen it since. 22 days later and two recommended BRP fixes and it's still leaking. And no one knows for sure where my trailer is. This is starting to look like a 30K mistake. Sadly the Florida Lemon Law doesn't cover motorcycles/mopeds or the paperwork would be in the mail. Gotta tear the first page out of the payment coupon book in a few days and State Farm is already raiding my account for insurance premium. Feeling some regrets about giving up adult beverages on Jan 1 'cause I could sure use a double of single-malt right about now. I guess my experience is counter-point to all the praise I read here.

I would think a GOOD dealer would at the least give ya a demo to ride on till you get your back... We must be lucky... have had no issues so far... 2000mi....

Have an oil leak on mine, too. Unresolved but they gave it back to me to ride. I don't care if it dribbles, as long as it doesn't blow up. Actually I do, but oil leaks can be hard to find. I'll let it get worse and they can take a look again.

If you feel you're having to bend over, first, run down to Osteen's and get ya some of their good fried shrimp. Then head up to Jacksonville and take it to the dealership up there. Someone was commenting earlier on this forum about what a good place it was to deal with.

That would be North Jax Motor Sports on Lem Turner Rd in Jacksonville Florida!:2thumbs:

Thanks all --

-- for your kind words. I'm not sure where this journey is taking me but somewhere I haven't been before, to be sure. BRP finally gave up the name of my case manager today. So tomorrow should be interesting. Assuming I can get through the jammed telephone service -- :cus:. I've requested a replacement RT from both BRP and the dealer. I think I heard laughter in the background.

Thanks for the tip MouthPiece & bodymanpainter. I've been to Jax Powersports on Atlantic Blvd. They gave me the red-carpet tour. Do ya'll have any feedback on them???

I'll give Osteens a shot although I hate waiting in line. I'm kinda partial to Aunt Kate's on the next island north. Blackened fish and johnny cakes with key lime soda on the water always makes me smile :D....

welcome

I also agree with the others that just because you bought it there, doesn't mean you need to have it serviced and repaired there. If you do not feel confident in their ability to correct the issues, then take it somewhere else.
