• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Great oil change trap tray

I have just completed my 3,000 mile oil change and service and really did not want to put ol':spyder:on a lift. I do have a motorcycle jack and a car jack but I found the perfect tray to catch all of the oil from the machine when its sittinng on the ground in the garage.

My wife has several large plants in our yard and I noticed that they has a plastic tray beneath the pot for water, one of them was about 16" accross by just over two inches high, so I nabbed it. The most difficult part was getting the plant of it.

It was perfect, it slid under :spyder:and it held all of the oil from all three places, reseviour(however its spelt), the main engine drain plug and the filter.

Apart from the bolts all being previously tightened way over the recomendations during the first dealer service all went really well.

My only problem was getting the borrowed part back before my wife got home and would you belive it but I don't remember which way the original plant was facing, so if noticed I will blame it on the wind, or the dogs or whatever I can think of at the time I guess.

I'll pick up my own at Walmart tomorrow as they are only a couple of dollars anyway.

By the way, thanks Lamont for the pictures in the 'how too' oil change, as well as reading the manual it gave me the extra insight.
