There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Grandma Got Run Over By A Tractor!

I was out cruising down this back country mountain road last week when up ahead I could see a tractor(mower) on the side of the road in a ditch. As I got closer I could see it was upside down and I thought; "man, that's gotta suck"! When I got next to it I noticed this arm flailing from underneath. Slammed on my brakes, jumped off, ran over throwing my helmet, glasses and gloves and found a 80+ year old woman trapped underneath. I tried to roll it back off of her as her leg was trapped underneath it and after struggling a few seconds:helpsmilie: another guy stopped and helped to get'r done. We helped her get back to the house where her daughter was and never heard her screaming. Just scrapes and bruises on her leg but don't think anything was broken. Tough old gal! The moral of the story?; "If I didn't have the Spyder I probably wouldn't have been out riding around and would never have been there to help. Thank you Spydie!

:yikes:
Grandma rescued by Spyder (rider). Now that's a headline. Glad you were there for her Bro.

Great job VT. Alot of people in this world would have just kept right on going pretending not to have seen her.:thumbup::thumbup: But if you threw your helmet to the ground it may have took a hit and may need to be replaced. Make sure you check it out good. Just looking out for ya.

Good job!!! :2thumbs:

Another moral to the story--- ALWAYS have a cell phone on you when doing anything outside alone. I ended up getting bashed in the head (yeah I know--:D) a few years ago while out cutting wood. A limb swung loose and hit me and blood was pouring out of my head. First thing I did was call a friend with my cell in case I passed out.

So always keep a cell on you folks--- you never know when you'll need it!

Again--- great job on helping this lady out--- we have a case or two every year where someone gets under a tractor and hurt bad or killed-- so you just never know.

Yep;
If it happen in NJ/NY, The first landscaper that happen by would just stop put the mower on their trailer and ride off.:roflblack:

That's a good one!. Laughing my arsnic off!:roflblack:
I carry my cell on me all the time and it seems like every time I want to use it, there's no service. VT is tough once you get into the mountains. Fortunately, I do have service at the house in case I get "tree'd" like you Firefly. My previous next door neighbor got hit in the face with a "widow maker". Shattered his frontal lobe, jaw, eye sockets and drove his teeth through his lower lip. His wife saw it happen. He stood up and walked back to the house to be driven to the hospital. About 15 years later, he rolled his 4 wheeler in front of my house at about 45 mph. Never even got a chance to get his hands down when he hit the pavement. Multiple contusions and fractured skull. I picked his brains up in a dust pan and stuffed'em back into his head. No helmet and drunk. Another neighbor came up the street and said don't worry. Any normal person would have died. Not him. Toughest guy I've ever known. Typical logger!:doorag:

Ps; helmet landed in the grass. Not a scratch. Thanks for lookin' out for me!:spyder:

:2thumbs: I'm glad that you were able to come to her aid before the situation got real ugly...
The Missus and I were out for a short hop this morning (160 miles), and stopped on a back road by a lovely field of wild flowers. A van pulled over and asked us if we needed any help; nice of him to check on us!
There are good people out there if you give them a chance!
(Joisey landscapers notwithstanding!):roflblack:

Glad you were in the right place at the right time, and the other person came along as well.

I wonder how long she had been laying out there waiting for help? Around here you could be there for a very long time before any other vehicles came down the road, and then it would be a crap shoot as to whether they would stop or not.

What I can't figure out is how her daughter (who was at the house) didn't hear the mower stop running and wonder what was going on. The woman was so old and frail I can't believe she was out there doing that anyway.:dontknow:

You never can tell. If the house was insulated well and she was watching TV or something, she might not have heard anything at all. It does make you wonder why she was out there instead of the daughter, but that may be something she loves to do and refuses to let her daughter do it. If that is the case she may have learned a valuable lesson this time.

Lucky for her there will still be opportunities for a next time to be on the tractor.
