GPS in the sun.....

There has been a few complaints here about the GPS screen unreadable in sunlight. I recently noticed that it is much more visible if I'm not wearing sunglasses. Chances are if it is hard to read in the sun, you are wearing sunglasses or looking thru the sunvisor of your helmet. Try it without any sunshield. I wear those flip-up, clip-on sunglasses over my RX glasses and simply flipping them up improves GPS visibility by at least 50-60%. Try it - you'll like it!

You are right. I have noticed the same thing.

Here is something I installed to help avoid some sun glare. It's aptly called "The Hood". It attaches to the sides of the GPS with Velcro strips. Stays put fairly well, and does a nice job, although the degree of glare reduction does depend on the angle of the sun.

Polarized lens are not good when using the GPS in the sun on some of the older models like the 660.
