GOT MY SPYDER BACK TODAY

picked up li'll red today at 11:45 am.trailored her home unloaded her and rested a while(2&1/2hrs) After 2 bottles of peptoe.I started to feel better an got hungry didn't want to cook(to hot to grill) so took li'll red out to dinner.Guess what on way back check engine lite came on. Thanks to you on here who gave me a lot off help I was able to bring up the codes. P160E is only one that came up. has anyone had this code or know what it meanes? thanks for any advice (I have pics.of screen). pete

Pete, you seem to have a lot of luck with your Spyder and it is all BAD. Does your dealer test drive it after making repairs? I know your frustration level has got to be off the charts but I'm sure that once this issue is fixed you will love your Spyder.

:thumbup: you are rite about the bad luck. but the frustration not realey. gotten use to it. the dealer says they test ride every time that it's in shop:dontknow: update got L'il Red out to strecth her leggs and see if check engine lite would come on rode bout 110 miles no lite:thumbup: will see tomorrow what happens(keep fingers crossed) Petehyea:

well I did more research on from,and I must apologize to thous who gave me a lot of help(except maybe one) my dealer has been most of my problem. Checked fuses relays and wires. found loose ones under frunk.fixed all I could find it was to late to test ride well let y'all know latter :2thumbs:

Well some more good news I think... :thumbup: You found something that could actually be tinkered with to try and prevent any more issues from popping up!
Dealers... :gaah: You might want to take a ryde over to them and let the owner know what you found. Let him ask his tech. why they didn't look more closely at a bike that's having issues? (Maybe they'll get that "deer in the headlights" look on their faces... :shocked: :roflblack

I wish to commend you on the patience you have shown in the face of all this adversity. I would be pulling my hair out and not very nice, were all these issues to crop up over and over again.

I do think the dealer is the root of a lot of the problems on your :spyder2: and would probably try a different one for service--if possible.

Please keep up posted. We are waiting for the "all is well with my :spyder2:" post.

Big #1 called me today to say that my T/B needs to be replaced again.I told him of the lose wires an fuses also the trunk is not unlocking with button(proudly lose wire) rode all day in 104 de. heat no problems:thumbup: Finally I think we are getting close to solving my problems:clap:. My apologies for venting my frustrations on here. It keep me from going nuts! My other post I told it like it was no lies no stretching it either. It started with my problems with my spyder and ended up about my anger,bad spelling,ect............ but in the end I think I will be alot more happy soon.:yes: Thanks for your help and support hyea: Pete

PS I FORGOT TO SAY THAT THE VSS(VCS) WORKS FINE! I CHECKED IT THIS MORNING CAN'T GET INSIDE TIRE OFF GROUND AND WHEN REAR TIRE LOSES TRACTION IT SLOWES ENGINE!!!!!!!!:2excited:

Talked to severce manager let him know about lose wires and not checking after work was done. he said he would solve that problem! he also said that they need to replace the T/B again an do up date on solfware.BRP is shipping over nite I have a appointment monday morning to get it fixed!:thumbup:
:yes: have to say that they are doing alot better sence they know I only want my spyder fixed! and I'm not going to stop until it is!!!hyea:Hats off to BRP an big #1:firstplace:
