Does anyone know what the total weight of the Industries 7 brackets and Givi cases is? With 350 lbs of driver and passenger and 30 lbs in trunk, that leaves about 60 lbs before you exceed load limit of 440 lbs. If the brackets and bags use up much of that, then filling the cases would likely put you over. Still not clear if 440 lb load limit includes weight of liquids (fuel, oil, water) and battery. If those must be included in the 440 lbs, then there is no way the Givi cases can work for two up. No comments about leaving wife home to avoid the load limit.

There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I would doubt that the GIVI cases and racks (saddlebags only) adds up to 60 pounds but I could see you going over 60 pounds once you started putting anything of substance in them. I'm guessing the GIVI bag and rack system is 15 to 20 pounds empty, maybe a bit less. From the looks of them, I'm thinking that Corbin's saddlebags are even heavier than the GIVI system.
FYI, I've ridden with closer to 460 pounds of people on the Spyder. I did not like the feeling of the handling with that much weight on it. Plus, the headlight aim was way out of whack for that weight. Almost every vehicle that was going by flashed their headlights at me. My headlights are adjusted properly for me alone (250 lbs.) riding it. If anyone is constantly riding with a passenger on and / or they start pushing the 440 pound limit, I would double check and adjust the headlight aim for those conditions.
I do have another suggestion for you, Bushtec hitch and trailer.

Thanks for the info. I really like the looks of the Givi cases, but before I drop $1,000, I want to make sure that it is a good decision for two up. No argument that the Bushtec set up is an option, but that looks like a $5k choice. Before I spend that much, I might just consider buying new clothes along the way rather than packing them.

I think you can get into a Bushtec setup, hitch and trailer, for under $3,000. Probably get a trailer setup for around $2,000 if you opted for someone else's trailer and a Bushtec hitch. Seems we found some trailers for $1,500 or a bit less when we were considering other options besides Bushtec.
