• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Getting my F3 base to a 2 up BRP machine

Hey, all! I have been lurking and reading some SL threads for a while now, so I finally decided to register and post a thread so I can get feedback from the community!

I recently bought a 2019 Spyder F3 base model. My 2021 goal is to go on a 3 day trip with my wife on the Blue Ridge Parkway. However, I first need to add a few things to it, starting with a passenger seat and backrest. There seem to be so many options, and initially I was going to go for the touring package (topcase + saddlebag combo) on sling mods website, but I might want to give the wife a better back rest than the included cushion on that particular luggage combo. So now I'm weighing all kinds of different options, but first...

1. I need advice on whether I should look into the passenger seat conversion kit from Can-Am, or do Ultimate Seat's upgrade for me and for her.

2. Can I move the front pegs back to passenger pegs if I upgrade to the ultimate floorboards?

3. Will a backrest accommodate adding a topcase behind it, or do you have to choose one or the other?

4. What else will I need to consider for getting an F3 base to be a nice little overnight trip pleasure-riding kind of machine for us?

I plan on selling my bike for about $2,000 which will be my budget for Spyder upgrades.

Thanks in advance!

...I don't have a good picture of the trike yet, so here's one of my car 20170608_185248.jpg
