• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Getting error message trying to log on - why?

gkamer

Sadly passed away, December '23.
When I try to log onto this site I get an error message telling me my connection is not private and displays this:

Net Err_Cert_Date_Invalid.
GoDaddy Secure Certificate Authority-G2
Expires on Nov 21, 2022.

I can by pass it and get on the site, but each time I click to read a post or whatever the message pops up again. Anyone else having this problem?

Website certification expire?

Anyone get this error today? I got it on my phone, iPad and computer. Had my son visit the site and he’s not on my plan, house or network and got same error. Just passing on for tech guys. I clicked agree to go to site even though it might be unsafe. It lets me see the site but asks every time I try to visit even after I said accept. This is a screen shot not attachment.

Thanks to all who worked on getting the site fixed!!
We all take for granted the work that takes place behind the scenes to keep a site like this up and running and I for one would like to say a big THANK YOU for the work you do.

Same problem for me as late as 7:00 PM yesterday.

Today's log on...no problems. Looks like they got it fixed.

 :firstplace:

I got a message not quite 7 hours ago saying it'd just been sorted.... but seeing that the message arrived shortly after my bed-time here in Oz, and for once I even managed to sleep right thru, I've only just now read it & so am only now updating this thread to say it's all sorted! :opps:

But for what it's worth at this late stage, the Forum's Security Certificate is back & working, so if you're still seeing that Security message: back out of the system; turn off your device; restart your device; then log in to the Forum again & it should work OK! If that doesn't get rid of the Security msg for you, then you may need to delete/clear the History & Cookies on your device & try the above again; and if that doesn't work, there's most likely something else going on at your end, cos the Forum is working fine once more!

Thanks for your tolerance everyone; now let's get back to the usual programming on the Forum! :ohyea:
