• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone know for sure the right part numbers?

Fronts for 2008,2009,2010 = # 219800071

2011 shows #
219800164

Backs for 2008,2009,2010 = #
219800072

2011 shows # 219800165

Wondering if the 2011 part numbers are the Gen 3 versions??

Looks like the Gen 3 numbers are:

Fronts: (4 pad kit) 219 800 164
Backs: (2 pad kit) 219 800 165

Question: getting to the rear caliper in order to swap out the pads... I see a lot of "stuff" bolted onto the caliper... What is it, and is it a monster of a job to get through it? :yikes:

It's really pretty straight forward - only two main bolts that hold the whole unit on... really easy for me now that I no longer have the parking brake installed.....

Even with the parking brake installed it was only like a 30 minute job.

This is your package:

It was a little difficult getting the piston compressed enough to give you room to drop in the new pads. There isn't much space. It was also a bit of a pain getting the clips on the caliper bolts.

I stopped by my dealer today and was able to swap out the 2nd generation front brake pads for 3rd generation pads. It only cost an additional $30. :gaah:
