• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Gaspe Quebec

We are planning to go around the Gaspe peninsula this coming Labor Day. We were just looking at road conditions on route 132 and it looks like there is a lot of construction. Is there anyone on the board that lives in that area or who has recently traveled that route who could elaborate on the extent of the construction? Thanks in advance.

Gaspe, Qc.

Hope I'm not to late.

Sorry for delay in response, just returned from that area.
We travelled on the 132 from Montmagny to Perce and returned/doubled back via the 132 and 20 (autoroute).
Yes, there is a fair amount of construction along the 132, mostly between Matane and Gaspe but it's no biggie, it will not slow you down much.
This time of year the hoards of tourists are not present and kids are back in school.
Max. time we had to wait was about 5-8 minutes before being let through.
Most hotels/motels are still open, many shut down at end of month.
Bring some warm clothes, weather is nippy/cool/cold at night.

Last year did the lower part, Mont Joli-Matapedia-Perce.
At that time, very little construction.

Safe travels,

A bientot,
DavidB.
