• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Gas Strut for RT Trunk

I understand in the states you guys can't find a replacement or uprated gas strut for the trunk of an RT and you have to pay around 90 bucks for the original

In the UK I found a company that has these in stock, I've just bought one for about 20 bucks I asked about shipping to US they said about 12 -14 GBP thats less than 20 bucks, so for under 40 bucks you've got a replacement trunk strut, that's a far cry from 90 bucks you've mentioned in the forum pages and it can be whatever pressure you want, I think they manufacture them. They will include 1 ball end.
:yes::yes::yes::yes:

The company is SGS Engineering http://www.sgs-engineering.com/gas-struts/

Phone number 0044 1332 576 850

Hope this is of some use to you guys and thanks for all the help you've given me.:clap::clap::clap:

In my video for moding the shock I talk about the manufacturer Suspa.
At the time they wanted more for the shock direct from them than BRP wants for it.
I would have to double check again.
SGS is a different company I think so I will check it out! Thanks!

Gas strut for trunk

No not yet, part in post, I just gave them the spec and they came up with it, hold fire 'til I get mine and it should be printed on it, won't get 'til 3rd week on Jan as I live in France.

I'll report back part number when I get it, If you're desperate phone them they are really nice to talk to

calling from the states could cost a small fortune:dontknow: But I am sure there is a answer to all questions and concerns

Sachs

Another gas strut company. Suspa, from Grand Rapids, MI, supplies BRP. Bob is right, direct from Suspa is more expensive. However, 5mm longer won't hurt and the price drops to 15 bucks!!

Look on their website, you can raise a request on line and they reply very quickley.

I can call the states from my landline for free both UK and France, I imagined it would be the same states calling UK but only landlines of course

As soon as my one arrives I'll put the model number on this thread so you'll have all the details
