There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Gas mileage on Saturday, Pinch me

Had a great ride Saturday with Gorcutt and Sandman and my son. I went 285 miles. I have to report my gas mileage for this trip. It is hard to believe. Was full when trip started, topped off tank at 113 miles, took. 2.8 gallons. I fill tank like I always do. Topped off tank when I got home, took 4.9 gallons, mileage was 172 miles. Most of the time we were traveling between 50 and 60 miles per hour. I did travel 50 miles on the interstate traveling home, speed was 71 mph. 113 miles divided by 2.8 = 40.4 mpg. 172 divided by 4.9= 35 mpg. I burn 87 octane. I was in disbelief. I usually average with all around speeds is 33 mpg.:yes::yes: I have a 2011 RTs. SM5, just turned 32,000 miles. Keep on Ryding. Bruce

Fun, fun, fun...

there are those moments. Great mileage and must have felt good. I get that from time to time on my RS but on an RT.....thats great...:2thumbs:

Good gas mileage for your trip.

We average about 31 on the 998 engine. My best is still 34 mpg--one time.

I've been very surprised with the gas mileage on my 2104 RS and have gotten 30-32 a few times but usually 34-36 with one 40- mpg. The lower mpg is with interstate riding in hot weather. I use premium grade as suggested in the manual and ride at lower rpm than a lot of Spyder riders suggest. Also usually ride 1 up but I am not a light weight. Just turned over 5000 miles since purchasing it in February so I don't have a lot of Spyder experience but I sure do enjoy riding. I don't think I'd care if it got 20 mpg.
