• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I am having trouble with the connection from the auxiliary connector for the 660 to the USB Cable to PC connection will not recognize Garmin express for the 660 LM the other Garmin units works fine with the same USB Cable just the adapter and the 660 LM off of my RT Limited does not seem to work. Any other riders have this problem or do I just need a new adapter?

You are taking off the battery cover and plugging in there right? Your mention of the adapter makes me think you are plugging in the car mount traffic antenna jack.

Open to view USB Port and Battery

Hopefully this will help other who may not know how to open their Garmin unit up to do the latest updates needed for their units. Thanks Billy for all of your help and hopes this makes it to sticky content.

Sorry forgot to image photos;

There is actually a slide release on the bottom of the unit that unlatches the battery cover for removal. Using a screwdriver to open the cover may possibly damage the latch, which would not be a good thing. I would not recommend using one.

Sorry I just found that slide switch on bottom, Ignore my earlier screwdriver comment!
