Fuse F7 Blown

This fuse is for the trailer running lights and trailer blinkers and the reverse actuator. My brother noticed my trailer lights were not on and had no blinkers, although the brake lights worked and all the RT's lights worked. I also discovered I cannot go into reverse.

I replaced the fuse & it blew twice with the key off. The first time was with the trailer attached and the second was with it detached. The fuse blows as soon as the blades touch the slot &, as I said before, this is with the ignition key in the off position.

Hmmm...

Heading home to Atlanta from Kerrville, TX and had to stop in Monroe, LA before sundown.

Any thoughts?

Is your wiring harness on the outside of your bag?

I checked that part of the harness and found no obvious damage:

I figure that I'll disconnect the harness where it plugs into the RT's wiring harness and then try another fuse sometime in the next few days, after I get home. If the fuse blows, then I might need to let the dealer look at the reverse actuator circuit, as the trailer lights will then be out of the picture. I'm curious why the circuit is energized with the key off...

The same thing happened to my trailer when on a trip last summer, I called my dealer and he told me which fuse to replace and exactly where it was so I tried that and it also kept blowing (f7 10 amp). I called him back and he said to stay by the phone and he would call back in a few minutes. He called back and said that it was the module and to drive very careful on my way home and he would order it and have it waiting for me.

The Module is parts # 710001811
My dealer is Wellers Recreations, in Marion, Utah family owned and operated and they treat me and other customers just like family and they really have the knowledge that is needed to get things done the first time.

That particular fuse is for both the trailer lights and the reverse actuator. When the fuse is blown, neither work.

Thanks for the module response. I'll have my dealer look in that direction, just in case they don't know already.

The more I think about I may not of had to use reverve, I left for home the next morning and when making stops to eat etc. I ususally park so I can just pull forward and be on my way. So I may not of even realized that reverse didnt work.

Newman1, you hit it. Got my RT back from the dealer Friday & they replaced that module. It is the same module (harness) that Lamont & I had pictured earlier in the thread. Trailer lights and reverse both work. Fuse F7 is holding strong. Warranty covered it.
