• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Fuel Leak

I know it has been mentioned before, but be aware that the hose clamps on the fuel filter are useless. I just had my 20k service and when I got home I was keaking fuel from both sides of the new filter.:gaah:
I have replaced them with screw type hose clamps and all is good.
I am of on a run with the Vietnam Veterans Motorcycle Club tomorrow for a week and hope goes well.

Oetiker clamps, if properly installed, work well. They do not loosen from vibration, like work screw clamps can, and they put even pressure on the hose, around the full circumference, unlike screw clamps. Unfortunately, using the wrong tool or a poor technique can render these advantages null. Sounds like you came out on the wrong end of the equation. I'd worry more about the ability of your tech than the usefulness of the Oetiker clamps.
