Frunk cable disconnect from under handle bars..help

My Frunk On my 2012 RSS would not open. When pressing in the key it would not turn allowing the trunk to open. I then played with the cable a little bit from under the ignition end it very easily came out and undone. I am able to pull the silvertip from the cable and pop the funk. Now I cannot figure out how to reinstall this cable underneath the Ignition. Can someone please help me with either a video diagram or pictures of where this cable is supposed to go and how to reattach it. Thank you for your help.

Been there done that ….. I had to dis-assemble the entire handlebar unit …. at least that is my re-collection ….. it wound be much much easier to just add an emergency cable pull release …. many, including me have done this mod ….. imho the ignition switch should only be for electrical connection .... using it like they do for car hood releases is Dumb ….. good luck …. Try This....

There are some little screws that hold the handle bar cover plate on. Remove them and take the plate off and you may be able to get it hooked back up...:thumbup:

I put a new seat cable on this spring!!!!:banghead: Take it from me, you can get that cable back on there with a lot of blood, and bad words, or you can do like 911 said and use the emergency cable set up. Do a search at the top of the home page and save yourself a lot of pain. I will never deal with that key switch like that again. Good luck
