• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

frunk adjustment

Can anyone tell me if there is an adjustment to the frunk lid on a 2012 RT limited? Mine seams to be a little higher on the left side and lower on the right as you are looking from in front of the bike. Is the latch the only adjustment? Thank you all in advance :banghead:

Frunk Lid Adjustment

From a guy that just rebuilt a wrecked frunk in the parking lot of the Lamplighter South during Spyderfest, there are adjustment possibilities. But making sure the gasket is properly seated all the way around should come first.

Between the four 6mm (10mm hex head) bolts that hold the frunk lid to the hinge and the two T30 Torx head screws that hold the other side of the hinge to the frunk, the fit can be adjusted. Not to mention a few choice four letter words when you zig instead of zag and have to start all over again.

The latch adjustments are only for adjusting it, after you get the lid to fit right.

There's a pretty good explanation in the service manual under Chassis>Body>Front Cargo Module. And IMHO, if you are going to do virtually anything on your Spyder yourself, invest the $20 or so bucks on a manual.
