• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Front brake noise

On my 2012 RT with 280 miles I can hear front brakes making a noise. I jacked up and the tires will free spin but scrapes an 1 spot. This is the same for both front tires. Does this sound like warped rotors and could front end being out of alignment cause this. Thanks Butch

Alignment won't do it. Could be warped rotors, but if it isn't causing pulsating brakes it should be nothing to worry about. Could also merely be dirt/dust buildup. If it isn't loud or suddenly different, learn to ignore it. Motorcycles make a lot of odd noises. So do cars, but you often never hear them because you are farther away, often with the windows closed, radio playing, etc. JMHO

Thanks Scotty. You was right, after talking to my dealer he confirmed that Spyder breaks will make noise. Seems the brake shoes will develop a small ridge and cause a squeal. He suggested to go in reverse for about 20 to 30 feet riding the brake and it usually knocks off the ridge. He showed me how and it did work. Just wanted to pass this on to you.

Noises..!!

You may also later hear clicking sounds when first applying brakes in reverse and forward motion. Pad hang on pins and shift positions. Best sign of a problem is overheating of calipers or/and disks...:ohyea:
