• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

From a stoplight; RT-S vs. HD Tri-Glide....

Yesterday, we met up with some friends to cruise for a late breakfast and a run to Sardis Lake in north MS. Lots of great backroad riding in that area! She rides a 2010 RT Limited. Her husband recently traded a Yamaha Royal Star for a Tri-Glide. It's really nice, too!
So; out east on Hwy. 302, the speed limit is 65mph. There is a stoplight where 309 crosses 302. We approach the intersection as the lights turn red. My buddy on his Tri-Glide pulls up next to my wife & I. It's about 10:15am. Not much traffic around.
He looks over at me like he wants to race from the light. I say jokingly, 'You don't want any part of this'. Here we are side by side at the light. His wife is right behind my wife and I.
The light turns green, and we go! By the time we hit 65-70mph, and I backed off, the HD had fallen back. By 3rd gear, it was no contest. I was actually kind of surprised. He told me when we got to the restaurant, that he was hitting the redline through the gears. The Spyder wasn't even close to redlining.
I have never raced before, and certainly won't be making a habit of it. But; I must say, my RT-S impressed the Hell out of me!
This afternoon, it goes in for it's 600 mile service. It will have a little over 1,500 miles on the odometer, however. :) What a machine! On the way home, we rode quite a bit of interstate, running north from Sardis. The RT-S just continues to impress us. My wife is absolutely in love with it, too! We rode 220 miles yesterday.

YOu could always have told the Police:

"He started it!"
If he was hitting redline; he was actually killing any chance that he might have had.
The Big Hawgs are torque-meisters; going to redline just makes noise, and little more...
Glad that you waxxed him though! :2thumbs:

Good feeling..!!

Your on a amazing machine..enjoy, and now that you know you don't have to prove it anymore...:2thumbs:

I know these people you are talking about, Linda and Richard. We rode together out West several years ago to Vegas and other points of interest.

Indeed! Linda & Richard! Linda and I have worked together for the past several years. When I showed up at the office on my ’08 Spyder GS in Sept. 2008, she got interested, took pictures, and she soon ordered her first Spyder GS in Roadster Red. Now; Linda has the wonderful RT Limited. We always have a great time riding with them.
If I had a ‘bigger’ garage, and more $$$, I would like a Tri-Glide, and Gold Wing Trike to join in the Fun! But, I’m Spyder – all the way until I win the lottery!! Lol!

It's really a amazing machine. My SE5 reached 75 mph in no time on third seems like 3.5 sec to 4.0 sec. aand a bit scary but fun.
