• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Now that I've established the correct demographic I'll fess up, this is about hydrogen power:shemademe_smilie:
So these guys are putting their money where they're mouth is.
Best part, they are motorcycle nuts so should be partially sane. That doesn't sound right but read on and see what they are up to.

Here's the blurb about the plant they are building...

None of your fuel cell complications, lithium mines or oil market rigging to deal with .
What could possibly go wrong? Over to the brains trust.:dg2:

Nice lure,mate!

Hydrogen needs to be kept under intense pressure to be transported safely. That's the hurdle no one has been able to crack yet, but they're thinking some kind of carbon-fiber fuel tank may work if they can get the economics of it right.

And with a 'green' V8 engine pumping out 450 horsepower at 6,800 rpm and a peak torque of 540 newton-meters (or 398 pound-feet) at 3,600 rpm, & no nasty emissions except water, it really is some sorta porn, isn't it!

I'd really like to see this hit the streets.... the engine that is, not just the Free beer & scantily clad women! :roflblack:

Oh my, will that fit in my Prius?

Now THERE's a worthwhile project! :2thumbs:

I've got a pretty big shoe-horn Bill... :ohyea: . And a very effective gas-axe!

Yeah, i mean they've all got them on the drawing boards but the agenda has gone sideways for the moment. Just needs the general public to be exposed to the reality of recharging 60 trillion flashlight batteries a day and we'll get to the Playboy V Penthouse stage is my take.
Meanwhile if you like reading the articles :read:and breaking out the spanners ;)back at the warm beer camp:cheers:.................
