• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Freaky weather

BLUEKNIGHT911

Sadly Passed Oct 2024 - RIP
This morning 64 F and mostly sunny .... tomorrow SNOW :clap::clap::clap::clap: ........Yep I'm a downhill Skier ............ Mike

We're getting the same sorta 'freaky weather' here in South Oz!

We're just into our Summer, so high 40's for a few days/week or so isn't really unexpected; but that's been followed by one or two days down into single digits or low teens with some solid rain; and then we're heading right back into the high 30's & on up to high 40's (& that's Degrees C, too! )

It's making the lawn grow so quickly I'm wasting a lotta good ryding time out with the mower instead! :banghead: We don't usually do much 'Humid' here in the Hills, but with weather like this, we've got so much 'humid' there's mould growing in places it's never been seen before!! :gaah: Who put in the order for this lot?!? :dontknow:

It's been a freaky year all around, so I'm not surprised the weather is freaky too. :gaah:

You're going about the lawn mowing all wrong, mate. Either mow faster or at least pretend you're riding. (If they can make a Kawasaki Ninja into a lawn mower, you can do the same to a Spyder.)

Yeah, that'd be OK if I had enough lawn to warrant something with a motor.... :p

But given how little the lawn is that we have these days, there's no real point in having a motor mower of any sort, so I use a man-draulic push type mower & still get it all done in less than 30 mins.

My gripe is that at the moment, due to all the rain & humidity that we generally don't get here once things start to warm up, I hafta do the push thing with the mower at least once every bleedin' week!! And that's time I could be out ryding... :gaah:

Whatever happened to all those industrious young kids who'd come round & mow your lawns for a few bucks as often as you wanted.... used to see them all the time, now I can't find anyone even by advertising! :sour:

Ahh well, the youngest Grandkid's just started teething - shouldn't be too long before he'll be big/old enough to push a mower! :ohyea:

Not BK, but the answer is yes. I was into CC skiing back in the day. We used to visit the Boundary Waters Canoe area at least twice a year. They had some very nice Nordic skiing trails that were groomed. Some of those uphills were pretty hairy. The scenery and ambiance was to die for. The resort we went to even had a lighted lantern trail. Very, very nice.
