• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hi to all from Florida. I picked up my 09 Spyder G.S 2 weeks ago and have only ridden my Harley once since. In fact I have ridden my spyder everyday but today due to rain. I had never sat on a spyder or test ridden one until I purchased mine, my ride home was 200 miles so it definately was a learning experience starting with the shear panic of reaching for the front brake at 80mph on the Interstate. I now have 700 miles of town and highway driving and have to say next to my first ever bike this is the most enjoyable one I have ever had.
Some of the comments on the forum have helped me as a newbie a great deal and I am very grateful. Probably one of the best tips I read is to relax your grip/ arms and when turning REMEMBER the bikers mantra "look where you want the bike to go" and suddenly taking any serious corners at speed is not an issue. Another thing I read that was a great help to my enjoyment factor was increasing the tire pressures to 20 front/30 rear and the front shocks to #5 it made a huge difference.
On my ride home the bike just had the stock "go faster look" windshield it was brutal at highway speed, so after searching the forums I purchase a new one from California Scientific, the windshield is perfect and their service was l incredible. I am in the process of adding a bunch more stuff, 2 or 3 wheels the spending never stops lol

Your experience is similar. Never rode one before I bought mine out of Texas. I had it shipped north though. Never want to get off of my :spyder:
