• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

As everyone on the Deals Gap ride knows there was several groups taking pictures on the mountain. As of today there is only one with the pictures already on line to view and purchase. Here is a link but if it does not work just go to the website and type in the date and select trikes and start scanning through. They have some nice pictures posted of the Spyders.

GREAT pics.

A few things I noticed after looking at them all:

Very obvious the standard trike cannot corner anywhere near as well as the Spyder - but we all knew that.

Many riders (including many on Spyders) were on or over the yellow line - which is how bad things happen. I would actually say there were more Spyder people on or over the line than those that were not.

Didn't see anyone really hanging off a Spyder like a monkey - maybe they were too camera shy to show off their inner-monkey!

Looks like a ton of FUN !

I meant no offense to the riders, and since I have not ridden that area I could easily end up doing the same thing - just seemed too common for people to be over the line in my opinion.

I did notice that one person in the photo group I looked at did have good riding technique by leaning into the turn.

One photo really showed the Spyder suspension ability with two aboard. Chassis low to the ground on right, high to the ground on the left, both people leaning to the right and both front wheels were on the ground, on a sharp left hand turn. Taking that turn faster probably would have lifted the left front tire or worse.

These photos are great for helping all of us be better riders and understand the dynamics of machine in the turns.

If the tire would of lifted any at all the computers would of kicked in and set it rigt back down. It would be nearly imposible to turn one over. The computers kick in well before any real chance of tipping. If the compters are not kicking in you must not be riding hard enough.

Well, sorry but I must disagree. I've pulled many a front tire up in the air on the Spyder - usually at lower speeds - but you can pull a tire upwards of 8-12" without the computer kicking in.

I also don't believe it would allow you to roll unless you did something REALLY stupid.

I love the pics of the standard trike showing just how bad they corner - rear wheel coming up - and then the force pushing outwards just brings her up that much more!

No doubt the Spyder is great for these types of runs!

Maybe its just me...... but i find myself looking at the pictures and thinking to myself "Oooooh they have the Corbin seats, with the Calsci windshield, the Givi bags, and a micron!!" (Cant forget the 4" risers) Talk about marketing, I knew nothing about mods before i started reading about them on this site.:2thumbs:
