Since 2010 I have participated in GLMC Annual Grand Tours. I found it is a great way to explore places that you probably would not have gone to. Essentially it is a themed scavenger hunt.

Grand Tours are indeed a fun way to get to places you might not otherwise go (or even know about). Since 2007, I've been setting destinations and planning routes using the Grand Tour from the Rose City Motorcycle Club here in Portland, OR. Instead of the scavenger hunt style of the GLMC, ours has set destinations (typically places to eat, since, ya know, who doesn't like eating) that change each year. Most are in Oregon, pretty much always have a few in WA and CA. And, depending on the year, they've stretched to NV, UT, CO, MO, WY, ID, BC, and Alberta. No information posted yet for 2025, but it should be coming in the next few weeks.
