• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

The swiss artist H.R. Giger did many fantasy art creations but his most memorable work was the creature in the movie Alien. Unfortunately Giger died last fall but his artwork lives on.

On our recent Spyder trip to the Carolinas and Tennessee we stopped in a number of shops and in one of them located in Blue Ridge, Georgia I found this piece in the front of the store.

It is Giger's Alien sculpted entirely from Yamaha engine parts... connecting rods, spark plugs, springs, gears, chains, wires... several engines were probably used in making this.

:D That is AWE-Freakin'-SOME!! :2thumbs:
What store, where is it, and how much?? :dontknow:

Can't remember the store name... I know it is on Main street in Blue Ridge somewhere in the 600 series of numbers.

They had a horse I liked made out of old parts that was priced at $850 so I'm guessing the Alien would be in the $1,500-$2,000 range.

Yes; but this one doesn't stick it's tongue down your throat, and bust your chest open...
THAT's got to be worth something! :D
