There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

FM radio has no range - fixed ground strap, now it works!

Bought F3 Ltd Special new 2 years ago. The FM radio worked but as soon as I got a few miles out of town, it would lose the station. Brought it back to the dealer under warranty, but they couldn’t figure it out; the radio picked up local stations at the dealership. I decided to take this one on myself, figuring the antenna was missing a ground so the sensitivity was poor. I finally looked behind the antenna on the top case and discovered that both the antenna element and ground plane were bolted together on a ground strap. I removed the ground strap from the antenna element and behold, now it's able to pick up a station further than a mile away.
