Florida Extended Warranty

I've readsome threads that say the extended warranty isnt available in Florida. But the BRP website definitely advertises a seperate Best extended warranty. I emailed BRP and received no response. Can anyone provide some definitive answer on the availalbility of the Best extended warranty in Florida.

Hi Wazoo,
I purchased my 2012 RSS SM5 New on 8/2012 from CFPS on OBT and they offered an extended Best warentee to extend my two YR BRP warentee it was about an extra $1000.00.
There is also a site sponcer that sell a extended warentee here on Spyderlovers site.

Florida, like many states, has some messed up laws IMHO

My understanding is that Florida Law doesn't allow the Extended Warranty to be sold in the state, but it can be purchased elsewhere & honored by ALL certified dealerships nationwide, including those in Florida. Not sure why this is, or if I'm 100% correct, if not, someone in the know clue us all in please.

For what its worth, Site Sponsor Berts Mega Mall out of CA sells the BRP Extended Warranty for less than any others I have seen, right around $850+/- if I remember correctly & if you email or call them, they are really good with customer service.

Flarda, does have extended warranties. It just doesn't allow BEST to be sold IN Flarda. I used RPM One on my 2010, and they honored everything that was "after manufacturer warranty". I also was refunded properly the remaining portion of my contract when my spyder was totalled last year.

The information on the BRP website is an error that they have never bothered to correct.. They do indeed show a separate BEST policy for Florida however it was never approved by State regulators -- as Chris mentioned they are other - actually several extended warranty programs in Florida for the Spyder and as the other gentleman mentioned you can buy BEST - say from Bert's Mega Mall and it will be honored here in Florida

I read on SL somewhere that the reason Florida would not approve BEST for Florida sales was the fact that it was not refundable or prorated if you wreck or sell your spyder as RPM one did for you. But BEST is honored at Florida dealers.
