• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Flipped it. In need of cosmetic repairs

Had a spill early this weekend and am in need of a few body repairs. Does anyone know where I can order replacement parts from, other than the dealer? Left turn signals, windshield, high beam switch, seat, handle bar cover, and passenger handle bars. Plus a few other parts, but those are the major ones. Just lucky I am still able to type.

Keep an eye out on Ebay. I saw an entire engine on there yesterday, complete with throttle and clutch lever. It seems like someone is parting out a Spyder.

Glad the Spyder still works, but even better....you seem to as well.

I'm no help with parts. Just spent a bunch having the dealer install some things for me. I guess I would rather they do it and it be done right.

Hope you get your :spyder2:back together again soon. Be careful out there.

Can you share more with us what happened - so we can learn?

Did you actually flip it? I'm not understanding how this bike can flip--- maybe you hit a curb or something?

Glad you're okay!!

Considering this should be covered by your insurance - why not just let the dealer do it all and bill your insurance?

and good luck .

Glad your doing well enough to participate on the forums. I'm praying that you make a quick and full recovery.

Glad you are ok. If you don't mind me asking along with the others .... what happened?

Passenger handlebar? Highbeam switch? Handlebar cover? These are odd items that need to be replaced...BTW, what is a passenger handlebar?

Wow, you actually flipped it? I hope you didn't get hurt.

If you take it to a dealer it will be there for a while, till they get all the parts. I had my accident on Jan 24th, still haven't gotten the bike back yet.

Zodiac,
Hope you are physically OK. Sounds like the type ride I hope NEVER to take.

I have a stock seat that was changed out before I even picked up my bike (has zero butt miles). It's in perfect condition. If you're interested I can let you have it for $75.00 plus shipping. Just PM me.

Good luck and hope you are back riding real soon. Riding season is here!

Regards,
RoHo

What parts are they waiting for to repair?

What parts are they waiting for to repair?

Too many parts to list. It took over a month for them to get the parts the requested first. after they got the bike borke down, they realized they needed more parts. Thats OK though, it gave me a chance to heal. Now that I'm not wearing any mor braces, I can't wait to get back on the Spyder.

Keep an eye on the 4-Sale section of forums and maybe even put in a "wanted" ad yourself. eBay is another good source. Whenever you see someone parting out a Spyder for sale, email them to see if they have other parts that you needed. Some of these hard to get parts is only available thru your dealers unless you can catch one being parted out. Good luck.

Zodiak, I too am hope you are okay and without serious injury. I am a wee bit worried though as I haven't seen a recent post after everyone was asking what parts and how you flipped the spyder. Are you okay? You mentioned you can hardly type. What kind of protective gear were you wearing and would you say it made a difference in the kind of accident you had? And of course the biggest question of all, how did you flip your spyder? Inquiring minds really want to know. Once again and most important of all, we pray you are healing well and back in the saddle again soon.
