• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Flags Across the Dam

It was a gorgeous day for a ride. There were several hundred bikes out for the ride across the Hoover Dam and memorial service at the Veteran's Cemetary in Boulder City, NV. We lined up on the Arizona side of the dam and were escorted across the dam to the cemetary. There were 2 other Spyders in the parade and 2 more that watched the parade. After the service our group rode to Willow Beach for lunch then back to Arizona for lottery tickets and then home through Lake Mead National Recreation Area. Dam 3.jpgDam 2.jpgDam 1.jpg

That wind WAS crazy wasn't it? Is there an exit from the new bridge to get to the AZ side of Hoover?

No, you have to take the Dam exit from the NV side and go through the security checkpoint. We had guests in last week and on Friday we took them to the Dam. I was surprised that they let us walk across the bridge it was crazy. Hard to walk and I had to hold my glasses on my head.

would love to see the new bridge at Hoover...thanks for the pics...looks like a good event

Driving across the new bridge is a let down. You can't tell that you are even on a bridge but if you take the exit and go down to the dam the view of the bridge is incredible. I'd suggest walking across the bridge first then going on to the Dam and parking. You will be shocked at how high up you were. When you and HG come to NV we will take you to the dam.
