• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Fixed Lamont's highway pegs to suit me

I got Lamont's highway pegs installed by Spyderpops during Spyderfest '13. As mounted they "faced front, kinda perpendicular to the tires. So, in order to put my feet on them, I had to extend my leg to the side and turn my toes toward the front. Lamont said to just put them in a vise and twist them. So today I took them off, put one in a vise and stuck a wrench into a hole and tried to turn it. No go!

Then my brother shows up with a

adjustable wrench. He rearranged the peg in the vise, gripped it with that big 'ol wrentch and twisted it! I got the pegs back on my Spyder, and they are just right now!

So I ask Bro where he got such a big wrench. Now that the statute of limitations has expired he shared the story.

I live in an Army town. A sergeant of his acquaintance asked Bro if he needed a large wrench, no charge. Bro asked where he got it. Well, the sergeant had asked a private to bring him 2 12-inch wrenches. The private came back to him and said he couldn't find 2 12-inch wrenches, so he got 1 24-inch wrench!

No offense to any military folks here. This was when there was a draft.
