I was bale to find a "fix" for the left side defective Corbin Fleet liner Saddle Bag on my F3S. Initially, I followed the post/advice of Capt. Jim and duplicated his efforts by getting a machine shop to weld a small piece of steel to the bottom of the latching plate (see pic). However, despite grinding and filing I could not get the lid to latch. Upon the advice of one to the shop employees, "we" welded a small bead to the underside of the plate on the forward edge where the latch connects. Success! The lid now latches securely and has about the same spacing as the right side bag. Not perfect, but serviceable. Could have sent the bags bike to Corbin, but I like the look and storage and so with Capt. Jim's posted efforts i was able to get the bags to work.
I also installed the Baker Belt stabilizer and I no longer have the annoying vibration in that narrow band of 67 to 71 MPY. Bravo Baker Built
