• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I've put this over on the Vendor forum as well. But these may sell out quickly and I don't want anyone to miss out. These are incredible prices on the Top of the Line, TPG jackets with the latest d3o 'Smart' armor.

This is the New Stuff, not older, closeout items. Right now all sizes are in stock but some sizes will sell out quickly. Email me at [email protected] or PM me here on Spyderlovers.

I can ship these World Wide

Dang it, Ron, now you're making things difficult.... :D

I was all set to buy a 2012 Kilimanjaro from you and now you go and do this...

Okay, I've looked at the First Gear site and compared the Rainier and the new Kilimanjaro. For the things I'm interested in (inner liner as jacket, helmet hood, d3o armor), it seems both jackets have 'em. It does seem that the new Kilimanjaro has an adjustable neck closure (lack of which which was one complaint I saw about the previous version), which the Rainier doesn't seem to have. I've also seen several complaints about the Rainier's arms being overly tight. So... given that you've seen the Rainier, but probably just have the feature list for the new Kilimanjaro, how would you stack 'em up against each other? I'm still leaning toward the Kilimanjaro, since I don't think I need all the extra pockets and little extras the Rainier has, and not sure the extra warranty period is worth extra $60 or so.

Good Price: snarff em up if you need em. I have two currently, and wish they would wear out.

PS. I like your shipping world wide. That's good customer service. :2thumbs:

I just throw out the cards I'm dealt. I know when I do this it creates decision issues but you wouldn't want me to sit on these sales either. :yikes:

Everyone is different with different needs so I try to leave the final decision to the buyer. The Kilimanjaro is more of a 'Box' cut whereas the Rainier is more of a styled or tapered cut. And some of the features are different as well.

Revzilla has some pretty good video reviews of these jackets.

Rainier (Women's version called the Monarch) - http://www.revzilla.com/product/firstgear-tpg-rainier-jacket

Kilimanjaro (Men's and Women's sizes) - http://www.revzilla.com/product/firstgear-tpg-teton-jacket

Hope this helps.

No, no, definitely don't want you to sit on sales either. :) I'm sure I'm just one of many here who appreciate your Spyderlover offerings greatly.

I think I'm gonna stick with the Kilimanjaro - will send you a PM. Many thanks!

All of the TPG jackets, (and the non-TPG lines) are great products. I love my Mesh-Tex jacket. No good for cold weather but great for most of the year.

I am hoping the Kilimanjaro's come in soon. Not only did Firstgear completely redesign this jacket (for the better, I might add, which isn't always the case) but they also changed manufacturer's. Also for the better, I've heard, though I never had any problems with the older stuff.
