• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

First Ride Impression

OK, I just got back from ryding most of the day; a little over 200 miles. Not bad for a first day. I don't know who first said that I'd be grining the entire time, but man does my jaw hurt. And the looks from people, I'm surprised there hasn't been an accident yet from people turning their head. When a guy driving a Dodge Viper gives you the thumbs up, it must be for a reason!!!

That machine has a lot of power let me tell ya. I was very impressed. And the sound of the Hindle is like music to my ears; my neighbors probably don't agree with me on that one. I think I see some NMN accessories in my future, but have not driven at night yet.

Today I also learned that I need earplugs if I am to do lots of highway ryding because of wind noise. I also used to share Tatt2r point of view of windshields, but I think I will require one; and it will probably be the new Givi screen.

It took me a little while to get really used to it, but wow was an easy and smooth ryde that is.

Lamont, I don't know what you think of the sway bar, but I think I did not waste my money.

Now the only thing left to do is to meet some of you. Now that i have my ryde I think it will be easier to identify with some of the problems/situations people have had. Did I say I was happy about my purchase?

Pics to come.

I'm not big on windshields either, but that trunk just seems to scoop and shovel an extra load of air in your face. It doesn't bother me on other motorcycles, but this one seems bad.

Your helmet type will help with wind noise...I rode about 150 miles 2 weeks ago and I was wearing sun glasses...they fit in the helmet fine but do push the pads away from the ears...due to this, there was more noise...argh...

As far as the hindle goes, I'm with ya...love mine and want no other...

I have some NMN mods...they're nice but ain't cheap...have to save some money for a while but next up is likely a different windshield or foot pegs...

I love to hear about riders first rydes! The funny thing about the Spyder is that the last ryde, whether it's number 200 or number 2, is just as much fun as the first for me. Life is good. Enjoy it!
