• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

When I got up this morning, it was 26F and definitely frost on the punkin'.

After getting my bowl of oatmeal, suited up and took spYder on the road.

The FIRSTGEAR ThermoSuit was excellent. I had on sweat pants and a light sweater and feel I could have had regular pants and a shirt. Only place I got cold was around my neck on the left side and in future will pull on a neck band to solve that.

The sunshine broke through and it is a beautiful day here in the Enchanted Mountains of Northwestern PA. The forecast high today is 50. I'll have to dress down when I go back out.

Only one minor problem -- this thermosuit is unisex -- no accomodation to men's relief without taking the top down to the waist. Oh, well, careful planning required there.

Hey Father, glad to hear the suit is doing it's job. We haven't gotten that cold yet but in the mid 30's the suit is working great for me as well. As far as your other problem goes, this statement is for all the women out there "Welcome to our world" LOL You are so funny.

Southern CA dwellers are sure spoiled.
We might get winter, but our ground seldom shakes. :chat:

O YA ?

i drove to work this morning 15 below zero in my underware, sox, and of course my helmet ....."SAFETY FIRST" :D:thumbup::D

Let's hear it from all the gals for FirstGear...talk about equality!

Brrrrr; glad I live in Alabama.:D

TATT2R,

Are you truly in Salem, NH? I didn't see any minus temps in the lower 48 this AM, even using metric. (Didn't check the Rockies)

However, I also wore underware, sox AND a helmet.

Not for nothing, frleo, but, you have to add "wink, wink, nudge, nudge" to just about everything that our friend tatt2r posts, which is why we love reading them! nojoke

(All of his photos, however, are authentic...)

It was 40 when we left the house in Michigan this morning. Balmy compared to some. Nice ride! The southern Cal folks and the Florida dwellers probably just put on the Eddie Bauer parkas just because Father Leo mentioned frost. LOL

Ha!

Sometimes it's good to notice the temperature. Daughter and I were focused on "fine tuning" my F1 windshield (which I re-cut and re-sanded) in the garage tonight.

We were both wondering why, while Marcel had used a hairdryer for about three minutes, we, after more than twice as long using a hot air gun--with which I have accidently set floor joists on fire, by the way--were still not able to bend the shield.

A few more minutes of closer and slower passes with the gun and we got a nice, clean, new lip on the shield.

Then we noticed that it was 38 degrees. :yikes:

(Who knows how cold it was before we "heated" the garage?!

Ah, Sunday morning. It is 20F on the barn thermometer right now. I had hoped to rYde to church, but guess BMW-R'ing will have to do. Not that the cold will stop me -- gotta take all the "priestly" stuff.
