• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

First of many (probably) ST maintenance videos.

Hey Spyderlovers. I love to tinker and figure things out. My favorite research site is YouTube. So far, I've found a ton of how-to videos for the RT and the F3, but no love for the ST. I just bought a 2014 ST Limited for my wife and will be doing lots of stuff to it. I will be cataloging it via YouTube to help out. Here's the first installment: a headache free way to remove and reinstall the tail lights. Let me know what you think! If I get enough encouragement, I will probably produce a lot more videos.

Thank you...

Great video and helpful tips on that taillight change. It is the same for the GS, RS, RSS. A lot tougher when you have the BRP backrest installed..:yikes: there was a post with pictures on a cut out you could do to be able to change the bulb easily,...

Also valid for RS product line...

Thanks for the post. It will come in handy for people like me who only know how to put gas in, start the engine and ride.;)

First, you are to be commended for making the video. Thanks! Well explained and not a lot of idle chatter. Just the "goods". Excellent!
Second, congratulations on being able to get your fingers in there without shedding blood! Hahahaha! I will wear scars on the backs of my hands forever.

Well done, and I look forward to other videos that you might produce for the ST Limited!

nice work......keep up the good work, many model will benefit from the video...seems like most videos are for RT model and the ST line up is kind of forgotten. Nah, there are just more RT model sold I assume.

Thanks for going thru the effort on the ST videos. Great job.
I purchased and STSE5Limited in August. I like doing my own work. Installed a back rest was the first order of business.
Couldn't find a video. It was a task. Had help from a friend. Still took most of the morning, but got it done.
Thanks again for your work on the videos!

Do not get the special GIVI tool

to remove the side bag frames from the bike. If you get a very wide flat blade screwdriver, this will work. Just make sure you push in as you turn (CCW I think to remove) and the bolt head will turn and come free from the bike. You need a at least 6" blade to reach into the tube on one of the 3 mounts to free that bolt. They are all the same.

Do you have any before and after videos of the lighting to show the difference?

Jerry
