• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

After only having my Spyder for a couple weeks I am having my first mod installed -- A HeliBar Riser. I don't really like the change in looks that comes from adding them, but I do like the change in comfort.

Looking forward to many more mods!

Congrats on getting the Helibar but I'm curious why you chose the Helibar over the Kewl Metal riser, the ESI riser or the Spyder City riser if you don't like the looks of the Helibars?

I didn't really care for the look of any of the risers on the bike. I don't like that adding the risers requires further exposing ugly wires.

The Heli had a good reputation, the costs were similar once shipping was accounted for and my dealer had one in stock, so not only could I try it out on a bike they had at the showroom, but I wouldn't have to wait for it to ship to have it installed.

If I had had the option to try them all out and see them in person rather than only being able to go by (kinda bad quality) internet pictures, I may have decided to go with one of the others.

Newest mods

Yesterday I added the BRP anti-vibration bar inserts, the BRP Grips and a MadStad windshield.

I also have the up and out mirror extensions. Maybe I can get those done this weekend.

Not sure what's next... maybe a comfort seat.

Nice start on the mods so far.

The Up and Out extenstions are very nice, my wife loves them on her Spyder.

I really like the comfort seat a lot, and believe it gives you great bang for the buck.

Lookin' good :2thumbs:

Our RS is at the shop having the KewlMetal risers installed (while waiting for the new clutch parts :yikes: ) We decided on the KewlMetal because they're easily adjusted to accommodate both of us (he's 6' and I'm 5'4"). It's all good!

Have fun with your Spyder

once you got the mod itch... it never ends !

My recommendation is to do the comfort mods first and then mix performance with the esthetics mods such as replacing the exhaust ! and then the rest..like I said, once you start you never end... enjoy and congratulations! :D

Mirror extensions

I put the up and out mirror extensions on this past weekend. I was really hesitant to cut the wires for the turn signal but it turned out to not be as difficult as I thought. It definitely would have taken longer to try to do it the other way.

Here are pictures:

The difference is amazing. I have almost a full view behind me and only have to glance to the sides to make sure no one got up beside me without me noticing.
