• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Finished rear fender

Finally got the rear fender completed. The first one I made, 10 inch, I was not happy with as it didn't have enough edge. This one is 11 inches wide and gives me the look I wanted.

That's a nice fender, but for me the $450.00 price tag was out of my range.

I have to agree with fencepost! Everything else that I want for the F3 is high. Glad to see Lamonster and the others are making aftermarket parts for the F3 and selling them at ailttel lower price. I liked and thought about getting that can am fender before I even got the F3 but I just could not stomach the $450 for it. I get more satisfaction out of doing things and making things on my own. Thanks to fencepost and all the help that he has given me I have made my own rear fender. Still got to do some minor grinding and sanding to it but pretty much done. I got some aerosol paint that matches it and it came to the house today. Going to work on it tomorrow and maybe finish it. Once again fencepost, thanks for the help..

Congratulations. ...l

Awesome..!! :2thumbs: job well done. Looks like it came with the spyder from the factory...

I agree, that fender looks as good if not better than the $450 factory one. After you have done your finishing touches and before you re-install it, can you post some close up pictures of the final product? I'm sure there are others that would like to do a similar job. I still don't have an F3 yet but have been collecting posts of everyone's modifications over the past year for when I do get one ( hopefully within the next year). :banghead: There are a lot of talented people out there that come up with some very nice cost effective alternatives.

That looks great! Where did you get the blank from? What did it look like before the grinding began?
