• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Have my F3-S in the garage. Woo Hoo!!!

Picked it up from Pitbulls on Tuesday with the "second muffler" removed. Love the sound with the stock muffler.

I rode it home to Houston. We went the backroads to break her/him in right (don't know it's gender yet), and got acquainted with it riding to SpyderPops in Arkansas.

Learned about the innards of my new ride as Harvey was installing the bump-skid. Had a great time! Already used the new bump too. You can't see the nose of the F3 from where I'm sitting...

Most of the last day was warm rain. The windshield was good in light rain, but in hard rain, had to duck behind it. I don't wear a face shield, like my nose in the wind, and it wasn't that bad.

The clothes are drying out, the F3 is a mess, but I have 718 miles on it. Time for some real riding!

The F3 is an awesome ride and I'm coming off five years on a GS I rode aggressively.

Ok, it's going to get a little long winded now... We rode up in Hubbies truck and he chased me back. To get lots of variable speeds we took the twisties home whenever we could. That meant going through Arkansas which was a big learning curve for me.

1. On the GS, I ryde like a drunk monkey, hanging ham whenever I got a chance....

The F3's saddle keeps your butt in the seat. No sliding around. Finally figured out what everyone was talking about by pushing into the outside foot-peg in the curves. What a difference! The F3 is rock solid in the turns, I just needed to hang on and let the machine do it's job. If you don't look at the speedometer, you end up going faster through the curves than you thought you could. Woo Hoo!!!

2. My GS has the upgraded BRP seat. Could ride all day long, but couldn't go further than 80 miles between stops...

With the F3, going on the backroads, gas stations can be pretty far apart. Sometimes we ended up going way over an hour and I felt I wan't ready for a break yet. The seat, arm position and the foot setting made it so comfortable for me. Also, you can move your feet around quite a bit on the bigger pegs.

3. At 5'7, the windshield is perfect for me.

Don't know about the gas milage yet, didn't clear the odo at gas stops because I wanted to know when I hit 600 miles. Yeah, it was in the rain somewhere in the mountains...

Yup, I LOVE my new F3! :2thumbs:

:congrats:Joy!!!! You should now be known as "Texas Terror".:D

Hmmm... I like the new name! It has a nice ring to it... :doorag:
