• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Finally took delivery! My 1st Spyder is now a reality!

:f_spider: So after many months of reading and researching on SL, I have my own machine out in the garage that I can go leap on and join you nice folks out on the highways.:doorag: I ordered the unit back in October, after almost purchasing a 2012, but excited by some of the changes, we ordered a 2013 RT Limited in Blackcurrant with BRP's add-ons... adjustable chrome handlebars, and the adjustable chrome wind deflectors. I also had the dealer install a bumpskid, a Gorilla alarm, and a shorty antenna. Drove it home Friday and as I got closer to home, was dancin' on the floorboards while stopped at a light. Got some strange looks, but uknow...don't give a rats... just too excited!
Do have one question for those who might know: The tech who installed the adj bars, had no consumer information that tells just how to make the adjustment. I recieved a box with the unused orginal pieces from the stock bars. Does anyone know if BRP has a consumer printout of the optional accessory called "tri-axis adjustable handlebars"? and how they work?
So cool to be a part of this sub-culture! :yes:

Hiya Curt!
Welcome to the family! :ohyea::2thumbs::yes:
You're going to have to put some pics up in here so that we can all take a look at your new pride and joy! :thumbup:

Welcome to Spyderlovers. You are absolutely gonna love your new RT-S "Limited". You'll find yourself making up excuses to go out and take a ride on it.

As far as your question, I can't help. I will say to please be patient with your dealer. The 2013 is a completely new ballgame to the dealer techs. I'd venture to say that yours may very well be the first one they've dealt with. With that in mind it's gonna be a learning process for all.

Chris

Welcome, a new adventure for you has began. Read the manuel, take your time learning the in's and out's of the Spyder. The more you know about your machine the better your Spyder owner experience will be.

There should be an allen wrench in your glove box, use it to loosen the 2 bolts on the bars, adjust to your preferred position and tighten the bolts back. I would add to make sure the wrench is inserted into the bolt heads solidly to keep from stripping the heads.(you probably already know this :banghead: )It is fun to play with the adjustment to see how much more comfortable you can make your riding position. Have fun and ride safe!

THANKS EVERYONE

You guys are the best! ;) At my sweethearts request, we went for a late afternoon spin. Ipod blasting 'road playlist', chattin' with her through the headsets, you're correct... my smile needed no help... in fact still smilin'!! :D And thanks Mr. JRocket. I was hoping to see a printed BRP sheet on the option explaining to me, Mr. Stupi-do, how to operate this $800 add-on. I do have the wrench and will just play with it, I guess.
See you soon out there!
