• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. It's about time! Awesome ride to get a late breakfast in Sugar and Spice in Mendon. Then out to West Rutland to Middletown Springs to Pawlet to Manchester then home. Lots of "hairy eyeballs" and stares of disbelief from passersby. 48 degrees. Peerrrfffect! Snowmobiles blasting across the fields at the same time. Too funny! Just about to peg the wife in the head with a snowball. Just snow. No ice this time!

Man I'm jealous!:banghead: ...If I wasn't presently disabled, I would of had the spyder out for a ride today! The cooler weather has never bothered me. Today was actually a nice day. I've ridden in 20 degree temps before and even in a snow shower.

Winter here waited until February to show up. Two major snow storms, and three weeks of cold weather. Today was the first day the temps got over 50, but it's been raining all day. So, I got wet!

MAN i WOULD TAKE YOUR WET IN A HEARTBEAT. Roads here still covered in 2 plus inch thick ice, temps way below freezing , snowbanks, 3 foot plus.:gaah:

I thought about it today as the sun was adding to the perceive temperature, but there was so much salt laid down the past few days I thought better off it. Hopefully this was the last major storm, no if we can get some good ole rain a few days that will wahthe salt away.

looks like you had a great time.

Great..!!

Good to hear some of you are finally getting a chance to hit the road..soon my friends soon...;) You all will be out

The machines are covered in everything from salt, sand and cow poo from riding through the farm land. Got a massive cleanup to do today on both of them. Still worth it though. At least the cow poo keeps them lubricated.:roflblack: As long as ya get the salt off of them and they don't sit in 40+ degree temps it doesn't become active. Get out there. That's what a hose is for. hehe

Thanks! I just try to keep things light in here... :D

And I was REAL happy to hear that you've had your Spyder out and was threatening a snowball fight with your Best-Half!

You're a better man than I. A number of years ago I took my motorcycle out in this weather, brought it back and washed it, and the salt almost ate it up. Now I wait until they clean the streets.

There has been several bikers out these last couple days in this region. I guess when the weather gets fair around here, the die hard riders that have been sick of the winter, don't seem to care about, potholes, mud, salt and frost heaves on the roads. Ride and have fun!

Must be nice

We still keep getting snow at least once a week. The grater finally went down our street last week, so now there is only about 4 inches of packed snow and ice. I still have about 5 feet of snow on my lawn. The day temps are still below freezing. They say another inch of snow and we will have set some new crazy snow fall record of all time. I was hoping to be riding April 1. At this rate I will be lucky to be riding by the end of April. :cus: me!

But on the bright side, if you wish to call it that; you'll still be riding snowmobiles long after everybody else has resigned theirs to the back of the garage!

Things were looking encouraging yesterday. Went to Wasilla, about 25 miles North of here and most of the snow was melted.

Here, the road was melting down the center about 3 feet wide and only 30 feet of my driveway to get to it. It snowed a couple inches last night. Mother Nature is saying wait a little more.

Best-Half? Funny guy!;)

Machines cleaned up just like new. About 30 minutes for both. They look so sad sitting there in the garage though on such a gorgeous day. My "little Red Express" is saying; "Ride me! Beat my :cus: like a rented mule"!
Heading out tomorrow going somewhere. Anywhere but here!

Hats off to you Northerners. Lived in Maine for 52 years so I get it.

On the bright side it'll soon be too hot here for most people to ride (not me though!) and you'll have 75 degrees and sunny skies.

Bill

Me likey! We ALL need things to look forward to so thanks Bill!

We were out also

We were able to get out this weekend also. A short ride Saturday and then a lot longer ride Sunday for a total of about 140 miles in temps. near 60 degs. Getting out on the Spyder does wonders for your mood and totally rejuvinates your spirit.
