• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Finally Pulled The Trigger

Well I have been wanting to upgrade my 2011 RT LTD to the new 1330 cc engine. My 2011 has been a great ride and I have taken it for many a weekend ride and some week long rides. It has never failed me, but I was looking for the extra power, cooling and gas mileage. I pulled the trigger on a new 2015 RT LTD and so far am loving it. The in-line has reduced the engine vibrations and the cooling is fantastic. No more burned toes and soaked pants. I have not had it long enough to check the gas mileage though. I hated to see my old ride go, but the new gal is quite a site.

What kind of mileage are others getting out of their 1330 cc with the SE6? I am assuming the new engine will allow you to shift a lower RPMs. I am using around 300-3500 for the shift points. Thoughts on that as well?

Congratulations. ...

bet your wondering what took so long....You had a great V-twin and it treated you well...:thumbup: but all good things must come to an end. It will go on to do the same for the next owner and you move on to a new and different ryde...:2thumbs: enjoy it....:yes:

1330club :clap: :2thumbs:
As far as fuel mileage: with a "careful" right wrist, you can easily exceed 39 mpg.
(My last tankful netted me 40.7 mpg)

:congrats:on your new :ani29: as far as miles go I get in the ball park of around 180 to 190 miles to a tank on my 2015 RTL, but I only have about 2000 miles on it. I hear that after your first oil change you will get a little better mileage. Good Luck.:yes::yes::yes:

39 + MPG on secondary roads..

Pretty consistent unless you tend to push air down the interstate at 80 MPH with the windshield full up.. 6600 miles so far on the 2015 and just starting to get broke in..:yes:

I'm old and slow so...

..shift at 3,000 (except out of first) and mileage about 40. Far cry from my 2008 and 2010. Only 5,500 miles on the bike so far -- but weather is great now so my riding has increased a lot.
:yes:

Enjoy your new ride.

Don

:congrats: You will find a large difference with the new 1330 three cylinder.

:ani29:: Mileage is consistently in the 39 - 41 range (if you keep it at 70 or less).

:ani29:: Shifting is now in the 3500 rpm range (works great in all gears).

:ani29:: Quieter and smoother operation.

:ani29:: Less aggressive maintenance schedule. 3000 mile break in service, 9500 mile oil change intervals or once a year, no valve checks required.

And, I also have a 2011 RT in my barn. I still like it a lot. :yes:

Congrats!

:agree: Congrats - We traded our 2012 RT Limited in on our 2014 RT Limited - great move. Love the new powertrain! We now have almost 28,000 miles on our 2014 RT Limited!

Enjoy your new ride! :yes::yes::yes::yes:
