• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Finally Picked-up Red RT-S SE5

Well, it's been a long time coming but the Red RT-S SE5 is finally home in the garage. Started in February with a dealer in NC and they kept me waiting week and after week for delivery with no delivery so I went to a dealer in Hanover PA that had one in stock ready to go. I think I made a good choice as the delivery was great and I have to say everything works, Radio, CB, XM with no problems coming through the headset and or speakers. Installed the GPS cable yesterday and the GPS is working great as well with good volume control.

After the frist 100 miles, one think I do have to question is a singing noise at 41-42 MPH. Sound like my old car with a worn ring and pinion. Not sure if it's the belt as this in the first bike I've owned with a belt drive. Any suggestions would be appreciaited.

I'm going to say it's is the belt. My GS has been doing it 3 years now, every time i adjust the belt it just changes where the wine comes on,
I just live with it :mad:

I am beginning to think it's good to be a bit old and hard of hearing.. I think I may have all kinds of problems with my Spyder but I can't hear them so I just go on riding and having fun...

Are you sure it's not you...singing that is????

:roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:

I know I do...luckily (for everyone else) I'm the only one who can hear it!!

:ohyea::ohyea::ohyea:

cheers
Pete

:agree:RED is a excellent choice - it shows good judgement, high intelligence, and refined character. :2thumbs:

I have to agree with you on that one!!!:2thumbs::2thumbs::roflblack::roflblack:

Excellent color choice! We'll be getting a Red RT-S ourselves next year (unless they come out with a color we like better between now and a year from now).

As for the sound... sounds like a belt to me.

Red is a nice choice. If the wife gets the bug for a Spyder after she gets her MC endorsement and safety course I expect she will be wanting a new Spyder or Thorobred Stallion.
