I just couldn't take it anymore so I loaded up and headed to my cabin in the Kootenays of British Columbia. The area is quite well known in Canada for some great biking roads. Seasonally they are about a month ahead of where I live so the roads were dry and the golf courses open!:2thumbs:
I have been DYING to get this thing on some twistys to see how it really handles. Well now I know!:2thumbs:
I had all of the service and updates done just before I left and I must say, I'm impressed with the new steering and fuel mapping. My Hindle didn't bark once!
You have to be careful in B.C. as they have a new law that if you are caught traveling 40 km. over the limit they will automatically impound the vehicle for a month!:yikes:
And issue a massive fine. Impound charges are not cheap and you have to go get it as well.
Not that I'd be tempted.
Settling the suspension into a turn..hit the apex...roll on power and down the straight to the next turn like a stabbed rat...oh my.
Had a wonderful week and now have a much greater feeling for my 2008 red SM5.
It was no spyderfest but it was fun!
Safe ryde everyone.
