• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Finally Got to Demo One

It reached a balmy for March 63 degrees here so I took a full-face helmet along in order to do this demo knowing the F3 doesn't come with a windshield. I fired up my Victory and rode over to American Powersports in Findlay Ohio and after some talking and waiting they rolled this Magnesium Silver & Black F3-S SM6 out for me to demo. I was impressed by the seat comfort and the riding position first although the stock #3 peg position was a bit cramped for me. The handlng was nice and flat around corners and the transmission slickly shifted without any clunking. As I got out of town I got it up to 60 mph and was impressed with the stability and also the suspension's ability to absorb bumps as our roads are in pretty bad shape after a hard winter. I kept going for a hand brake the first few miles but got used to the foot-only braking. My next hurdle is to get my wife over there and get her to ride along on the back. I'll baby the throttle as there will not be a passenger backrest for her. I'm still thinking #5 peg relocation rods, windshield and passenger backrest would make it downright comfortable for both of us. I also got my full face in the frunk, chinbar up and bottom to the front. Since she & I both wear half helmets they both might just fit in there. Saddlebags will also be a must for us but that's about it.

give us a passenger evaluation after she has tried it. backrest would be nice, but let her tell us how she felt on the back!

Go with 5 setting I'm 6'1" it works.

#5 it is

My legs were pretty cramped on the factory #3 peg setting. Tough to use the brake & shifter correctly but it was a short ride, maybe 10 miles or so. I did get up to about 60 mph a couple times and 5th gear is good down to about 40 mph with plenty of torque to roll-on with. Looked like I was maybe at 3150 rpm at 60 mph in 6th gear so that's about 900 more rpm than my Victory is turning in 6th at 60. Completely different animal, apples to oranges. I was impressed at how much better it absorbs bumps in the road yet has such taught handling in corners. I deliberately went over 3 railroad crossings to see how it took those bumps and I was comfy. The hook is about 75% set, just have to get my wife on yet.

Finally!

I was wondering if you were ever going to get the demo ride done.

I am glad it finally happened.
