There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Fender Brace

Dudley

New member
Saturday the front fender brace on the left front fender separated at the weld as I was exiting the freeway at home. Thankfully. Had it happened doing 70/75 mph it would have probably folded back the fender. Did a temporary fix, drove it to dealer, 70 miles, on Monday. Shop took pictures, emailed to BRP, and I drove back home. The new brace was received today. Now that's service! Will be warranty.

Temporary fix was a 5" concrete nail and 2 screw type hose clamps.

 Nice fix Dudley. Looks like a pretty solid piece of metal that came apart ?

It's right at the weld. Seems like just a bad weld. I haven't seen any other posts about anyone else having that happen, so I may be the first and last. But having a concrete nail and 2 screw hose clamps may not be a bad idea for part of an emergency kit. I would also recommend a socket to fit the clamp screw...a screw driver would not get it tight enough.

Also, a hint: If anyone starts to get a rattle from the right or left side of the front, check the fender braces...this one rattled for about 2 months before it completely came apart. I tried to identify it, but never thought of the brace!
