• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Favorite brake pads?

Y-me

Hello one and all,

Looking at some pads for a 13 RT as the current ones have 18k and are not long for it.
I had heard that EBC are very good but what is the consensus on brake pads?
What pads is everyone running?

What about the OEM pads, ne gud?
Should I just let the dealership handle it?

Thanks,
M

Choices.....

Not many as far as I know only EBC reg, semi sintered, fully sintered and oem. Check yours I got 33,000 on the rear and still had meat according to BRP and have 38,000 on the fronts. I went with the semi sintered on the rear and once seated they are great. Check with BajaRon who sell the EBC line....

While we're on the subject, what is the average life of the original pads? I just went over 24K on my 2014, and am wondering when they are normally due.

EBC makes only Organic (similar to OEM) and Semi-Sintered for the 08-12 Spyder.

EBC adds the better Fully Sintered pad option for the 2013-2018 Spyders.
