• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Faint Tire Squeak Sounds When Starting Off -Slow Roll

I love.. love.. love my RT Spyder. I feel safer riding it than my other MP3 500 Trike, which is feeling neglected. I really could use some advice on a squeak or two... Appreciate any advice offered!
History: Recently new tires & brakes installed - less than 500miles.

When I first start to rolling ... my fronts and back tires have a faint squeak sound. Where should I direct my shade tree mechanic to lube first - any secret locations/joints maybe forgotten? The squeak sounds are not from applying brakes. Two different faint squeaking sounds heard -when slow rolling start-offs. Heck it may be normal even :banghead:- and I'm just being paranoid!!!:sour:

Lets see.....

Here are a few things to try.....Having had new brakes installed try seating them in...a few emergency stops from about 60mph to heat them up and let them cool after that. Clean disc's with simple green, check belt tension and tracking. Tires themselves don't make noise unless rubbing up agaist something or pressure is too low. a visual check to make sure nothing was left loose around the caliper area...

The new brake pads might be dragging a little bit. YOu could try a good cleaning of the calipers...
Good luck!

Highly likely that it is nothing to worry about.......especially if the noise changes or goes away with light brake pressure.

But a trip to the shop is as good an excuse for a ride as anything, I guess.
