Just purchased an Ex demo 2018 F3T Having traded in my 2015 RT
I have fitted the wedges to my F3T as the mirrors can Vibrate
I have found out that the Mirror covers can work loose and some riders has had them drop off and needed replacements
I decided to do a temporary fix until BRP (Doubtful) or someone else comes up with a better fixing for those covers
Like what the magic mirrors did for the Mirrors on the RT
I went with a 2018 F3T as these have the indicators in the Mirror housing
This made it easier for me to do the fix
Remove Mirror Cover and the Mirror
Drill a small hole underneath the Mirror to allow a Zip tie to pass through it
Put the Mirror back on and thread the zip tie though the Mirror housing so the zip tie
Comes out below the LED’s
Reattach the Mirror Cover and connect the zip tie so that the connection sits underneath the Mirror
Pull zip tie tight and cut off any access
My Mirror housing is Black and by using a Black zip tie it is hardly visible
To access the Mirror just cut off the zip tie
Now if a more permanent fix comes along I can remove the zip tie and I will just be left with a small hole underneath the Mirror which would help with draining if any water entered the Mirror
I did not have to make any changes to the Mirror Covers
