• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Does anyone know if BRP will be coming out with a TURBO version in the very near future, maybe 2018 .

Looking at the additional plumbing required ie: intercooler, turbo, enlarged airbox, exhaust waste gate to name a few the one on the man pages' F3 Turbo shown, I don't think they will do it. You would completely lose the frunk and have no storage. It is possible (obviously) but I don't think the numbers are there for them to produce it right now. Maybe in a couple of years...just my take.

There is a lot more power possible in the motor they have if they wanted many 1300 cc motors with 160 to 180 hp out there stock in the m/c world a little cam and head work could equal a big power bump

Power!

1330cc motors can make 160 hp. I have a KTM that does it with 1300cc. BRP needs a program where mods are in stages: many OEMs do it. There is easily 50-60 hp in there, waiting to be unlocked. Air filter, exhaust, power commander, heads, pistons, cams, injectors, stroker motors. A turbo or supercharger would fit easily. A clutch upgrade would be needed, maybe a chain final drive. With just one motor in the line, how about some upgrades??

Doubtful....

But ...if Aprilia can get the 998 cc Rotax to punch out 140 horse's ...just think what they can do with a 1330 cc..:yikes::ohyea::ohyea:

My understanding from BRP is that there are no plans at this time to bring the turbo to market.

These companies always have a few engineers that like to see what might be possible...

...Without regard to practicality! nojoke

Why not just contact Aerocharger, and see if you can talk them into restarting their research with Spyder engines? They DID have a kit for the GS/RS bikes.... :dontknow:
